What You'll Actually Learn

This isn't theory for theory's sake. Each module walks you through analysis techniques using anonymized data from real companies. Some thrived, others didn't. You'll learn to spot the difference.

Foundation Phase

Weeks 1-4

Start with the basics: reading financial statements without getting lost in the jargon. You'll calculate current ratios, quick ratios, and working capital. More importantly, you'll understand what those numbers mean for day-to-day operations.

First assignment: analyze a local retail company's liquidity position during their 2024 expansion.

Intermediate Analysis

Weeks 5-10

Dig deeper into long-term financial health. Debt-to-equity ratios, interest coverage, and cash flow patterns. We look at manufacturing companies, service businesses, and tech startups to see how solvency concerns vary by industry.

You'll compare three companies in the same sector and identify which one has the healthiest balance sheet structure.

Applied Practice

Weeks 11-16

Put everything together with comprehensive case studies. You'll receive quarterly reports from multiple companies and need to write analysis memos explaining your concerns and recommendations.

Final project involves tracking a company through a difficult period and presenting how their liquidity management either saved them or contributed to problems.

Support Systems That Keep You Moving Forward

Download Excel templates for every ratio and calculation we cover. Pre-formatted so you can focus on analysis rather than spreadsheet setup.

Updated quarterly with new case study materials and practice datasets.

Discussion Forums

Ask questions between sessions. Usually someone from your cohort or a previous group has dealt with the same confusion.

Instructors check in daily during weekdays to clarify trickier concepts.

Feedback Sessions

Submit your analysis work for detailed written feedback. We point out what you're catching and what you might be missing in the numbers.

Schedule one-on-one video calls if you want to talk through your approach on complex cases.
